Detainee Support
Abide in Love began in Rolla, Missouri, in response to the detention of immigrants held in the Phelps County Jail. From the beginning, our work has been rooted in direct, human care: providing detainees with personal care packages, helping cover commissary costs, and ensuring access to phone communication so individuals can remain connected to their families and legal support while in detention.
Today, that work continues, and it has grown. In addition to our local efforts, Abide in Love now supports a network of affiliates across other counties and states who carry this same model of loving, practical support into their own communities. Together, we form a widening circle of solidarity, offering dignity, connection, and compassion to immigrants in detention wherever our partners are able to serve.
