About our Affiliates

Abide in Love exists to practice compassion where it is most urgently needed—and that work is always local. Our affiliate model allows care to take root in communities across the country while remaining grounded in shared values, mutual accountability, and nonviolent love.

Why We Have Affiliates

Immigrant detention, family separation, and deportation are experienced locally, even when driven by national systems. Affiliates allow Abide in Love to respond to these realities with proximity and care—supporting people where they live, worship, and organize. Rather than centralizing all action, we empower communities to lead with insight, relationship, and responsiveness to local needs.

How Affiliates Work Together

Affiliates are locally led and independently shaped, but they are not alone. Each affiliate is connected to a broader network through Abide in Love, sharing resources, guidance, and collective learning. This network allows affiliates to support one another, learn from shared experience, and remain aligned with common values while responding flexibly to their own contexts.

Finding or Starting an Affiliate

You can explore existing affiliates to connect with work already happening in your area. If there isn’t an affiliate near you, you may feel called to start one. Abide in Love provides guidance, resources, and organizational support to help individuals, congregations, and community groups discern whether affiliation is a good fit—and to walk alongside them as they begin.

Together, our affiliates form a growing network of care: local in practice, collective in purpose, and rooted in love.
